Today at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lexar announced the Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B Card DIAMOND Series and Lexar Professional CFexpress Type-A Card GOLD Series.
These two cards are squarely aimed at the video market, offering unparalleled transfer speeds that will keep up with the data demands of shooting video in the field and transfer back in post-production.
The latest Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B Card DIAMOND Series provides read speeds of up to 1900MB/s and write speeds of 1700MB/s. These transfer rates are more than enough to cope with the demands of RAW 8K, 6K and 4K; this card is also compatible with selected XQD cameras.
Lexar is also announcing a CFexpress Type A GOLD Series Card that offers read speeds of 900MB/s and write speeds of 800MB/s. This card will suit standard specifications 8K, 6K and 4K capable cameras. Alongside the new Type, A card will be the Type A reader that supports high-speed USB 10Gbps transfers across USB Type-C.
Both cards support VPG 400 specification, meaning they will sustain a minimum transfer rate of 400MB/s; this is enough to cope with most standard DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
Each card has also been built with durability in mind, shock, and vibration and will withstand extreme temperatures. A lifetime warranty will back each card for additional peace of mind.
