Underwater shooters Pam and Wayne Osborn have unveiled their latest book, Dive Wakatobi, which is available now on Apple Books. Like all their books, it can be downloaded for free.
As Wayne puts it, Wakatobi Dive Resort is found at “the far-flung southeast tip of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Nestled in the Tukang Besi archipelago, the resort indulges access to the waters and reefs of the famed Coral Triangle. These fringing coral reefs and atolls host one of our planet’s richest marine biodiverse regions with 3,000+ fish species and 750 coral species.”
Suffice it to say, Wayne and Pam are serious fans—with the former having done more than 550 scuba dives on Wakatobi’s reefs and the latter having spent over 1,000 hours freediving the resort’s spectacular house reef. As well as describing 24 of the dive sites found here, the book boasts over 320 pages of colour photos, including fisheye, wide-angle, portrait, macro and aerial images. Dive Wakatobi is thus an excellent introduction to this “remote outpost fringed by the Banda and Flores Seas.”
To download the free book to your Apple device, head over to Apple Books. Alternatively, on Wayne’s website, there is a link to an EPUB file that allows those without an iPad or a Mac to read it. If you’d like to see Wakatobi’s awesome reefs for yourself, make an enquiry via the resort’s website.
